I just scanned my 2002 GMC Sierra (5.3 LM7) 4x4 Automatic transfer case (ATC) and found some problems in the programming of the MD802 scan tool.

While looking at the data for the transfer case it lists all the data PIDs that are noted in the service manual.  However, there is a problem with a good portion of some of the "On" "Off" data PIDs like "2WD High Indicator Light," "Auto 4WD Indicator Light," "4WD High Indicator Light," "4WD Low Indicator Light," "Neutral Indicator Light," "Service 4WD lamp," "4WD Lamp Open," "4wd Lamp Shorted," etc.  These data PIDs all show the opposite of their actual position.

For example, when I'm in 2WD High on the transfer case selector switch, the truck is in 2WD High, and the 2WD High light is on, the data PID shows "off" and all the other indicator light PIDs show "On."  If I change to another position like 4WD High, the 4WD high lamp lights up but the data pid shows "Off" and all the other indicator lights show "On" when they are clearly off.

Hope this makes sense.  The scan tool data shows the opposite of what the status is.  What does it take to get an update to resolve something like this?

    Thanks,
    John
